I went for a fly, 2500' cloud base over the Kaimai's. Managed to climb to 3000' with cloud around and under me. 30 knots W wind around 2000', while on the ground it was much more NW. I had to give it in after 20 minutes because I just couldn't see any rain coming from upwind. When I got back it started drizzling. We cancelled the day and went inside for a nice cup of tea.
